Abstract

Para que la información se produzca es necesario que el periodista sepa sobre la realidad y sepa comunicarla, para que el ciudadano, a su vez, la aprehenda en sus justos términos y sepa a qué atenerse. Y no hay saber posible si no se usa la inteligencia, si no se valora utilizando la razón, si no se descubre, en la medida de lo posible, el sentido que las cosas tienen tanto por sí como en su relación con nosotros. Si no hay valoración, si no hay selección y jerarquización, si no hay profundización ni contextualización, si no hay aplicación, etc., no hay verdadero saber y, por tanto, no hay verdadera información.
