La política de lucha contra el yihadismo de Estados Unidos ha variado en las últimas décadas. Este artículo revisa cuál fue la herencia recibida por Obama al comenzar su mandato, qué decisiones tomó mientras estuvo al frente de la Casa Blanca, qué impacto tuvo la Primavera Árabe y qué aspectos han cambiado y cuáles se han mantenido con la llegada de Donald Trump a la presidencia de su país. Cada presidente ha usado diferente cantidad e intensidad de medios militares y civiles. Además, cada uno ha puesto un énfasis diferente en la verdadera raíz del problema, que es la ideología.

The US policy for fighting jihadism has varied in the last decades.
