Itinerarios de la sombra.

Abstract

Este artículo traza una serie de itinerarios de la sombra que muestran su capacidad para acomodarse en múltiples acciones y disciplinas artísticas, científicas y literarias, así como sus cuantiosas formas de vincular percepción y pensamiento en los imbricados mundos de la razón y el subconsciente. Los itinerarios esbozados, discurren por la obra de una serie de artistas en la que se utiliza la sombra como entidad de referencia que provoca, por el modo en que se presenta, la aparición de otros conceptos y formas de pensamiento. Se estudia su uso desde la ejecución rápida y sintética, como imagen simulacro que deviene en lenguaje de la mano de Michaux, Rovner, la pintura y caligrafía china y Barceló. Moholy-Nagy parte de su carácter más objetivo, racional y constructivo. La sombra como mímesis es utilizada por el pintor Jaime Lorente. José Luis Guerín hace un esbozo cinematográfico vinculando tres disciplinas y el reflejo se presenta como entidad equiparable con la sombra, con la idea de abrir nuevos ámbitos de investigación interrelacionados. Finalmente, se apunta cómo la alteración física, por parte de la sombra, de la realidad desde lo visual y lo táctil y su capacidad de cualificar formas y espacios.

This article presents a group of shadow´s itineraries that show their ability to work in several actions and literary, scientific and artistic disciplines, as well as their substancial ways of linking perception and thought in the interowen worlds of reason and subconscious. The outlined itineraries go through the work of some artists, where the shadow is used as an entity of reference that inspires, because of the way it turns up, the appearance of other concepts and ways of thinking. Its use is studied as a fast and synthetic image, which becomes language guided by Michaux, Rovner, Chinese painting and calligraphy and Barceló. Moholy-Nagy starts out from its more objective, rational and constructive character. Shadow as a mimesis, turned into image, is used by the painter Jaime Lorente. Jose Luis Guerín makes a cinematographic sketch joining three disciplines with the shadow. and the reflection appears in the last itinerary as an entity comparable to the shadow with the idea of opening new interrelated investigation areas. Finally, it´s pointed out how physical alteration of visual and tactile reality is provoked by shadow as well as its aptitude to qualify shapes and spaces.
