Abstract

El Telefonino de Hackert es un diálogo especulativo entre las tres figuras que aparecen en una pintura del volcán Etna en erupción, realizada en 1782 por Jacob Philipp Hackert, pintor paisajista alemán de la corriente neoclásica, afincado en Italia. Los otros dos personajes son los ingleses Charles Gore y Richard Payne Knight, viajeros que han realizado el Grand Tour y que posteriormente desempeñarán papeles significativos en las redes trans-europeas y en el movimiento paisajista inglés, la aparición de la percepción subjetiva: el Pintoresquismo. El texto oscila entre la precisión histórica de sus biografías y la ficción del tema de las pinturas, además de otra ficción más profunda, manifestada a través del teléfono móvil trans-histórico suspendido enigmáticamente como un tecno-Holbein en el primer plano de las pinturas.

Hacker’s Telefonino is a speculative dialogue between the three figures in the 1782 painting of an erupting Etna by the Italian based, German Neoclassical landscape painter Jacob Philip Hackert. The other two are English, Charles Gore and Richard Payne Knight, grand-tourists who subsequently play significant roles in trans-European networks and the English landscape movement, the emergence of subjective perception: the Picturesque. The text oscillates between the art historical exactitude of its biographical notes, and the fictionality of the pictures subject, and a further fictionality manifested by the trans-historical mobile telephone, enigmatically hovering like a techno-Holbein in the pictures foreground.
