La naturaleza visible de una arquitectura invisible.

Abstract

Con la primera radiografía del físico Wilhem Röntgen en 1895, el hombre moderno descubrió la posibilidad de desvelar un mundo antes oculto. Lo que hasta entonces fue invisible al ojo empírico, ahora era visible a un ojo radiográfico. Esta nueva visibilidad, que colapsó la superficie como límite, anudó a lo visible lo no-visible. Dicho anudamiento ha proporcionado a la arquitectura y con ella a la vida misma, la capacidad de una nueva 'forma de ver' para afrontar una nueva 'forma de hacer'. Esta nueva 'forma de ver' tuvo una clara influencia en la arquitectura de la época. Una arquitectura dibujada con piel y huesos descubrió en su visible transparencia la misión terapéutica para una ciudad invisible. Pero no todo fueron piel y huesos.
