Educación afectiva de adolescentes desde el centro escolar.

Abstract

La madurez, entendida como el desarrollo armónico de la personalidad humana, está en íntima relación con la educación afectiva recibida desde las primeras etapas de la vida y, especialmente, durante la infancia y adolescencia. En el proceso de maduración personal, intervienen no solamente los padres y profesores sino, también, los amigos y el entorno digital a través del cual los jóvenes obtienen información y se relacionan habitualmente entre sí. Mediante entrevistas a expertos y cuestionarios realizados a adolescentes, el contexto social y las conductas habituales de los jóvenes españoles, así como el tipo de formación que están recibiendo, especialmente en las sesiones de educación afectivo-sexual, impartidas en los centros escolares. Hemos observado que, generalmente, éstas tienen una orientación utilitarista y, en consecuencia, inconveniente puesto que reducen el significado de la sexualidad humana a mera fisiología, desvinculada de un proyecto personal estable de amor y comunidad de vida que puedan llevar a la felicidad. Proponemos, por tanto, la implementación en el centro escolar de talleres de educación de la afectividad desde la etapa Primaria a la Secundaria, de orientación personalista, que realce la belleza del amor conyugal y acreciente el valor de la espera.

Maturity, understood as the harmonic development of human personality, is intimately related with the affectivity education received from the beginning stages of life and especially during infancy and adolescence. Not only are parents and teachers involved in the process of personal maturation, but also friends and the digital environment and/or surroundings which young people use as a source of information and a means of communication among themselves. In this project, we have studied, through the interview of experts and surveys conducted on adolescents, the social context and concerns of Spanish youth, as well as the type of education they are receiving concentrating especially in sexuality and affectivity education sessions in schools. We have observed that generally speaking, these sessions have a utilitaristic orientation and therefore unsuitable focus since they reduce the value of human sexuality to a merely physiological issue completely separated from a stable personal project of love and a shared familiar life that may lead to happiness. We therefore propose the implementation of affectivity seminars, starting in the Primary stage of education and continuing on to the Secondary years, in schools with a personal orientation that highlights the beauty of conjugal love and the value of waiting.
