María Soler-Campillo. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universitat de València. Master’s Degree in Tax Consulting from the Institute of Higher Education at CEU-San Pablo University, Valencia campus. Professor Soler-Campillo also holds a Doctorate in Business and Institutional Communication from Universitat Jaume I, and is a Lecturer in Communication and Audio-visual Companies at the Universitat Jaume I. She has published a book entitled, Las empresas de fotografía ante la era digital. El caso de la Comunidad Valenciana (Madrid: Ediciones de las Ciencias Sociales, 2007), and has participated in congresses, specialised conferences and published in scientific journals about economy and audio-visual companies. She is also a member of the Research Group “Research in Technologies Applied to Audio-visual Communication” (ITACA-UJI).
Esteban Galán-Cubillo. PhD in Communication and Lecturer in the Department of Communication, Audio-visual, Documentation, and Art History at Universitat Politècnica de València. He has also completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Audio-visual Communication for which he was awarded the National Prize for best academic record. Professor Galán-Cubillo has developed a long career in audio-visual production and direction with more than 15 years of professional experience in Channel 9, TVE and the European Union. His line of research has focused on the study of digital tools in audio-visual production and transmedia narratives from an applied approach. His scientific production includes works such as Televisión en virtual (Madrid: IORTV, 2008), and Contenidos transmedia para la radiotelevisión de Proximidad (Pamplona: Eunsa, 2018). He is also co-director of the international research project entitled “From Ideas: Out of the Box”, as well as a member of the ITACA-UJI Research Group. Since 2017, he has been directing the Transmedia podcast and the scientific dissemination platform known as Comtransmedia.com.
Javier Marzal-Felici. Professor of Audio-visual Communication and Advertising at Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, he is director of the Department of Communication Sciences and coordinator of the PhD programme. He is also co-director of the book collection entitled Guías para ver y analizar cine (Guides to watch and analyse cinema), academic co-director of the Global Village Collection which is co-edited by Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat Jaume I and Universitat de València, and co-director of the quarterly periodical adComunica, which is a Journal on Strategies, Trends and Innovation in Communication. In addition, Professor Marzal-Felici is Director of the so-called Research Group on Technologies Applied to Audio-visual Communication (ITACA-UJI), the focus of which is the study of visual culture, the relationship between technology and visuality, the theory of image, the political economy of communication, and the analysis of audio-visual texts.
