Corresponsales y censura en la Guerra Civil Española.

Abstract

La Guerra Civil española constituyó un acontecimiento histórico que despertó un interés inusitado y sin precedentes entre los medios de comunicación internacionales. Corresponsales de prensa y radio, así como escritores e intelectuales ya consagrados, se dieron cita en España para narrar lo que aquí estaba ocurriendo. La mayoría de ellos terminaron involucrándose con la contienda y con el país. Este trabajo versa sobre las condiciones de censura que ambos bandos impusieron a sus crónicas y como se desarrolló su día a día en la retaguardia mientras esperaban las noticias que llegaban del frente.

The Spanish Civil War represented a historic event that awoke an uncommon and unprecedented interest in the international media. Press and radio correspondents, as well as previously acclaimed writers and intellectuals, met in Spain in order to narrate what was happening here. The majority of them ended up involved in the conflict and with the country. This piece of work deals with the censorship conditions that both sides imposed over their chronicles and how their day to day life in the rearguard developed while they waited for the news that came from the front.
