En busca de las patentes de Oíza: persiguiendo una intuición.

Abstract

La intuición está en el germen de esta investigación, que nace sin una metodología previa que la dirija. Son la propia experiencia y los intereses personales, los que provocan los interrogantes que desencadenan esta micro investigación, que tiene como objetivo último, llenar un pequeño vacío de conocimiento. No se trata de investigar por investigar, sino de calmar la obsesiva curiosidad de saber lo que no sabes. La observación es, por tanto, fundamental en el proceso natural de la investigación; a partir de ahí: reconocer el valor del hallazgo, establecer conexiones, compartir la información y divulgar los resultados. Las distintas etapas recorridas, que muestro de manera secuencial en estas líneas, me llevaron hace meses, a descubrir dos patentes inéditas de Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oíza,(registradas por veinte años y en todo el territorio español), iluminando así la faceta menos conocida de este maestro de la Arquitectura: la de inventor.

Intuition is the origin of this investigation, which is born with no previous methodology to direct it. Personal interests and experience arise the pressing questions that trigger this micro-investigation, which has as an ultimate objective to fill a small knowledge gap. It is not just mere investigation; it is about satisfying that persistent curiosity of knowing what we do not know. Observation is therefore key in the natural process of research, in order to recognize the value of the finding, establish connections, share information and disseminate the results. The different phases of my investigation, shown sequentially in these lines, led me to discover months ago two unpublished patents (registered for twenty years and throughout all of the Spanish territory) by Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oíza, thus illuminating the less well-known facet of This master of Architecture: the inventor within him.
