La imaginación que se entrelaza con lo real: los lugares de Enric Miralles.

Abstract

El lugar es donde la imaginación del arquitecto se enfrenta a la realidad y se configura como uno de los puntos de partida de la arquitectura. Con tanta influencia lo fue para Enric Miralles, que organizó la mayoría de sus proyectos a partir de su interacción con el lugar. Clasificó su obra en tres familias y por consiguiente, su idea del lugar se basaba en estos tres criterios. Así, para entender su arquitectura, se hace imprescindible comenzar a comprender su concepción de lugar. Analizaremos con ejemplos las tres familias y concluiremos que se puede realizar una arquitectura personal, a veces incomprensible a primera vista como la de Enric Miralles, pero tan llena de identidad y arraigo al lugar, que se hacen imprescindibles para materializarla.

The place is where the architect's imagination is facing reality and stands as one of the starting points of architecture. With so much influence it was for Enric Miralles, who organized most of his projects based on his interaction with the place. He classified his work into three families and therefore, his idea of the place was based on these three criteria. In order to understand its architecture, it becomes imperative to begin to understand his conception of the place. We will analyze the three families with examples and conclude that a personal architecture can be realized, sometimes incomprehensible at first sight like the one of Enric Miralles, but so full of identity and rooting to the place, that becomes essential to materialize it.
