Chlorós y su riqueza cromática en la Septuaginta.

Abstract

La riqueza cromática que encierra χλωρός y sus derivados se pone de manifiesto en la versión griega de la Biblia a pesar de que su presencia no es numerosa, sino más bien esporádica (18). Los traductores de LXX escogen cuidadosamente los contextos en los que χλωρός y sus derivados aparecen: la vegetación, los lugares donde aparece la flora, los hongos y los animales. Son en ellos donde se pone de manifiesto su fuerza expresiva y su capacidad de sugerir tonos, matices, e irisaciones diversas que no pueden pasar desapercibidas al lector con sensibilidad poética. El verde (en sentido amplio) de χλωρόν, el verde hierba de χλωρός, el amarillo-verdoso, el verdoso y el verde oliva grisáceo de χλωρίζω, el amarillo resplandeciente del oro de χλωρότης impregnan las distintas perícopas de la Septuaginta evocando con breves trazos un mundo de color y luz.

The chromatic richness that contains χλωρός and its derivatives becomes manifest in the Greek version of the Bible despite the fact that its presence is not numerous, but rather sporadic (18). The LXX translators carefully choose the contexts in which χλωρός and its derivatives appear: vegetation, places where flora, fungi and animals appear. They are where their expressive power and their ability to suggest tones, shades, and various iridescence that cannot go unnoticed by the reader with poetic sensitivity. The green (in the broad sense) of χλωρόν, the grass green of χλωρός, the greenish-yellow, greenish and grayish olive green of χλωρίζω, the resplendent yellow of the gold of χλωρότης permeate the various pericopes of the Septuagint, evoking with brief strokes a world of color and light.
