Sentido de la filosofía desde la tradición personalista

Abstract

En este artículo se propone hablar del sentido de la filosofía, más que de la utilidad, y se caracterizan las corrientes filosóficas más representativas del siglo XX para descubrir bajo todas ellas un cariz indefectiblemente personal. El sentido de la filosofía personalista está, en primer lugar, en reorientar las cosas y la filosofía misma hacia la persona, fuente de todo auténtico sentido. El sentido de la filosofía personalista está, en segundo lugar, en promover un giro personalista que se sitúe en un justo término medio entre el objetivismo y el subjetivismo (términos ambos que son posteriores a la relación interpersonal). Además, si se confronta al personalismo con otras tradiciones filosóficas, se comprueba que este es superior, en orden a la actividad teórica, en orden a la orientación de la propia vida y en orden a la vocación profesional, sea en los trabajos científicos, técnicos o de servicio. Todo ello se resumiría en el lema “¡a las personas mismas!”. / In this article it is proposed to speak of the meaning of philosophy rather than utility, and it is characterized the most representative philosophical traditions of the twentieth century to discover under them an unfailingly personal character. The meaning of personalistic philosophy is first of all to redirect things and philosophy itself towards the person, the source of all true meaning. Secondly, the meaning of personalistic philosophy is to promote a personalistic twist that is situated in a fair middle ground between objectivism and subjectivism (both terms that are posterior to the interpersonal relationship). In addition, if personalism is confronted with other philosophical traditions, it is proved that it is superior in order to the theoretical activity, in order to the orientation of the own life and in order to the professional vocation, in the scientific, technical or service jobs. All this would be summarized in the motto “to the persons themselves!”.
