Felipe Alonso-Marcos holds a Ph.D. in Social Communication, distinction Cum Laude, from the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Social Communication from the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He is a graduate in Journalism, University Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (UB). He is currently an associate professor at the International University of Catalonia (UIC) and the Escola Superior de Relacions Públiques (ESRP), an associated centre of the University of Barcelona (UB). His main research areas are Theories of Communication –in particular, the Spiral of Silence Theory–, Public Opinion, and Contemporary Philosophy. His work has been published in prestigious international and national journals such as Public Understanding of Science, Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, or American Behavioral Scientist.
Omar Saldaña holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, distinction Cum Laude, from the University of Barcelona (UB), and a Master’s Degree in Methodology of Behavioural Sciences and Health from the National Distance Education University (UNED). He has a degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona (UB) and is a graduate in Advertising and Public Relations, Escola Superior de Relacions Públiques (ESRP). He is currently a teacher and researcher in the Department of Social Psychology and Quantitative Psychology at the University of Barcelona. His primary research areas centre on the delimitation and evaluation of coercive persuasion and psychological abuse applied in different areas. He has participated in competitive investigation and teaching innovation projects. He currently combines his research activity with teaching within the framework of social psychology and collective behaviour.
