She was awarded a Ph.D. (2003) degree in Computation by the University of Manchester. She is both a researcher at REMIT at Universidade Portucalense, and at ISTTOS-Centro Algoritmi at Minho University. Her research focuses on Information Systems and Digital Transformation.
